About reduction of the right to vote age

Law to revise a part of the Public Officers Election Act in June, 2015 was passed and was promulgated. The right to vote age was reduced to "18 years or older" by election that the date was made public after public announcement day of national election (the 24th member of the House of Councilors ordinary election) carried out for the first time after June 19, 2016 by this revision or was notified.
