The only traffic shop to remain in Sapporo which conveys house structure of early farmhouse now for the Bureau of Development era

This building was built in Misumai that was the point as accommodation, rest station of man and horse who carried tourist and baggage which came and went to Usu via Jozankei from Sapporo by Bureau of Development. Afterwards, it was removed and rebuilt in You Are Here by the Kuroiwas that was okushu of traffic shop when traffic shop was abolished as passersby decreased, and new road (current former Route 230) to Jozankei was opened in 1887 (Meiji 20). After the later enlargement, it is in current figure with hut, shed seen in layout of traffic shop in consideration of accommodation function and reclamation farmhouse well. It is valuable building which tells Branch Office of office and private education places (forerunner of Misumai Elementary School) about used local history in the only traffic shop and house of the oldest reclamation farmhouse left in Sapporo.

We are utilized as handmade hometown museum which displayed photograph and tools conveying local history that Former Kuroiwa Residence (former Misumai traffic shop) preservation society collected now.
